Shipping policy

Short version: Items are made to order. Production takes 2 to 7 business days, and shipping time is added on top of that. Rates are calculated at checkout.

Production time is not shipping time

Nothing here is pre-made. When you order, the item goes into production and is printed and assembled for you. That takes 2 to 7 business days in most cases, longer for complex items such as all-over-print garments and shoes, and longer again during December and around major sales.

Only after production is finished does the parcel enter the mail. The clock a carrier quotes starts then, not on the day you ordered.

Transit time

Transit depends on the destination, the carrier, and customs. Your shipping confirmation carries a tracking number and the carrier's own estimate, which is more accurate than anything we could print here.

Domestic US orders usually arrive within a few business days of shipping. International orders take longer and can sit in customs for an unpredictable stretch. We do not promise a delivery date, because we do not control the carriers and would rather not tell you something we cannot hold to.

Rates

Shipping is calculated at checkout once you enter a destination. What you pay depends on where it is going and what kind of item it is — a pair of shoes and a backpack do not cost the same to move.

For a sense of the range: most orders ship for roughly $4.50 to $14. Small, light goods such as hats, bags, and socks sit at the low end nearly everywhere. Bulky goods such as backpacks, pillows, and weekender bags cost more, and to distant destinations — Japan, Brazil, Australia and New Zealand, and much of the rest of the world — a bulky item can run up to about $56. The exact figure is always shown before you pay.

All prices and shipping charges are in US dollars.

Where we ship

Worldwide. If checkout will not accept your address, email us and we will find out whether our production partner can reach you.

Orders with more than one item

Different products are made in different facilities, so an order with several items may ship in separate parcels that arrive on different days. There is no extra charge for this. Each parcel gets its own tracking number.

Customs, duties, and import taxes

If you are ordering from outside the United States, you are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, VAT, or handling fees your country charges. These are not included in the item price or the shipping charge, and we have no way to calculate or collect them in advance. Your customs authority or carrier will bill you directly, usually before delivery.

If a parcel is refused or returned because those charges were not paid, it is treated as a returned order under our Refund and Return Policy: we can reship it once you cover the reshipping cost.

Tracking

You get a tracking number by email when the parcel ships. Tracking often takes 24 to 48 hours to start updating, and international tracking can go quiet for days while a parcel is in transit or in customs. Silence in tracking is common and is not itself a sign that anything has gone wrong.

Late or missing packages

If a parcel is clearly overdue, or tracking says delivered and it is not there, email tonicthoughtstudios@gmail.com with your order number. We will chase the carrier and file a claim where one is possible.

Claims must reach us within 30 days of the estimated delivery date. After that the carrier will not consider them.
